Pilates

Trudy Kemp runs a weekly Pilates class.  Pilates is a very precise, intelligent exercise system, where the message is ‘Quality, not Quantity’. It’s a way of learning how your body works that gives you the tools to improve your own posture, appearance and physical wellbeing.

Pilates produces results.  You will see and feel the difference, developing strength, flexibility, a flatter stomach and improved posture.  The perfect exercise for a 21st-century lifestyle, Pilates works as an antidote to days spent in forward flexion at desks, in cars, on sofas.  It is a valuable oasis of ‘me’ time in a hectic rather stressful world.

Yoga

Yoga with Alex Goodson on Mondays offers a choice of 2 classes:

9.45am to 10.45am, Hatha yoga class

Come and improve your mobility, flexibility and serenity with a yoga class designed with everyone in mind. Whether you are a beginner or already a practitioner, you will find variations adapted to your needs. We loosen up the joints of the body, move into small flows of postures and finish with a relaxation.

11am to 12pm, Yoga with the help of a chair

Whether you have mobility or balance issues, stiffness or perhaps recovering from a hip or knee operation, this class will help you build confidence as we use a chair for support. We start warming up on the chair and move to standing postures and if you feel up to it you can also do some work on the floor. Your chair is available to you at all times and there are variations offered for every posture. We close the session with some relaxation time.
